Ten BEML Crash Fire Tenders handed over to Suriname        

In an official ceremony at Paramaribo (Suriname), on July 10, 2009, ten (10) BEML Crash Fire Tenders were handed over  to Suriname's Minister of Justice and Police HE Mr. Chandrikapersad Santokhi by the Ambassador of India to Suriname Shri Kanwaljit Singh Sodhi. These fire tenders have been supplied to Suriname under GOI Line of Credit worth US$ 4.3 million.

         These crash fire tenders have been designed and modified by BEML, India to suit local conditions in Suriname. The fire tenders, built on TATRA BEML Chasis have powerful engines developing 300 KW power(12,667 cc) and are capable of negotiating difficult terrain and rough surfaces at high speeds. They can accommodate six firemen and provide greater mobility at high temperatures and altitudes. They are equipped to handle all kinds of fire contingencies.
